Oh my goodness! Dianne, being the most organized stamper I know, has again outshined herself with this cute little stamp from Hero Arts that allows her to record details of any sample card she makes instead of post-it-notes.

I'm going to have to order these stamps now!

Another talented member of the Art 'n Soul staff is Patti! Look what she did to make her time at the sewing machine much more fun!

by Patti Highlands -- sewing machine platform decorated with washi tape
Is there nothing washi tape afficionados won't cover with washi tape? I don't think so! When she shared the photo with us, the email subject line said . . . 'one thing led to another." I should say so! and wonderfully so!

More washi tape will be at the store by Saturday, in time for Marj & Dianne's Wild Ways withWashi Tape class next Sunday, June 9. You know how fast it goes out . . . so be there Sunday when the store opens!

These lovely samples on Art Squares from Inchie Arts were sent to the store . . .

Wavy Line stamp from Lost Coast
(we originally saw this stamp for journaling -- I love it that
Lisa Lee used it as waves in the water!)

The Magenta Mixed Media on Wood & Mixed Media Boards class was so inspirational. Everyone was totally enthralled with the process and creativity, so much so that several of us gathered for a 'free' play time a few days later. Many of us agreed that the designated play time just wasn't enough, so we're offering another 'free play date' as a follow up to the class . . . Saturday, June 8, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.
Saturday, June 8, 12:00-4:00pm, MIXED MEDIA Play Time - Free!
Bring your Magenta Mixed Media boards (optional, or you can purchase more at the store), stencils (lots of new ones at the store), your stamps, Imagine Crafts Craft Medium, watercolor brushes (small and medium size), papers, your craft sheet, etc. Dianne is going to bring her Silk Acrylic paints, Debbie will bring StazOn and Memento Inks as well as GooseBumps, the store has colored pencils . . . and we'll get some LiquiTex for you to use. Who thought mature adults(!) would enjoy an afternoon of adult finger-painting as a group! and for free! That's what Art 'n Soul will do to you! Please come and play with us . . . you'll like it!

Scenes from our experiences with Mixed Media, Magenta Style! I wish I could remember names with the photos. The problem is the way the pics were downloaded onto my laptop; they didn't make it on in the order I took them in places and so it really messed me up. If you're looking at this posting and recognize your work, please let me know; I'm more than happy to come back and put the correct caption with the photo(s). If a name is missing, it's because I had no clue . . . one of those "I'll remember moments" that I should know better than to think! In the meantime . . .

I'll keep working on sorting through my photos so you may enjoy other treasures created from Helene's magic.

That's it for this morning. Please stop in at Art 'n Soul . . . we're so proud of what we might share with you at the store to inspire and help you create your own artistic magic! Art 'n Soul is truly a one-of-a-kind store in all of the greater Puget Sound region and southwest Washington . . . fine art rubber stamping, paper crafts, and mixed media products and tools.
