We're really liking the latest Make-'n-Take from Impression Obsession. We hope you'll come into the store to make a card just like it . . . $1 or a Food Bank donation per Make-'n-Take.

Sam Lee shared three holiday ornaments she made . . . they're gorgeous!

Jill Blaise shared a project she made from Graphic 45's Bird Song collection . . . coasters! She purchased more papers today from the collection, and she's going to make coasters using the umbrellas. I hope Jill brings those into the store for us to see as well!

Jill purchased inexpensive tiles at Home Depot. She glued
4-inch square papers to the tiles and let them dry overnight.
Jill then coated the tops with 3-4 coats of Mod Podge, allowing
each layer to dry before adding another coat. A final spray of
shellac was added to resist the hot and cold temperatures.
Cork sheets were cut to the tile size and adhered to the
backside of each tile.

This afternoon was especially fun. Susie, Helene (Magenta) and I were asked to spend 3 hours at John Petersen's home (Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko) to do a pre-trial run of their make-'n-take projects for the upcoming CHA Show in Anaheim next month. It was very nice to meet two other members of Imagine Crafts' Artists-in-Residence too! More on these projects after the start of the CHA Show.

As I look around the living room at the sparkle of the Christmas decorations, I'm wondering which ones I might keep out during the dark month of January without it looking like I never put the decorations away.
