On your mark, get ready . . . get set . . . go! The new "All Dressed Up" line of embossing folders arrived at the store, along with the "Rose" embossing folder that sold out. Don't be left with nothing to choose from . . . Dianne is quite anxious to share her enthusiasm for these new embossing folders.

Art 'n Soul is so very fortunate to have Marj Marion as a featured instructor. At her latest class, Artful Weaving, held last Tuesday, Marj shared her enthusiasm for the Wicker and Weaver dies from Cheery Lynn Designs. The following cards are either the class cards we made in class or extra designs she brought in to show additional examples of artful weaving.

The weaving is actually paper made to look like ribbon
by embossing paper from a Dreamweaver Stencil before
cutting into strips for the weaving.

Paper was colored with Pan Pastels, fixative applied, and
then stamped over with a word background stamp.
Flourish die from Memory Box.

Susie brought in these two beautiful cards she had made using the artful weaving technique taught by Marj. She used ribbon in the first card, and washi paper in the second card. Enjoy!

"Used one of Tim's new retro embossing folder for this pendant. Do I like it? LOVE it! It's one of the Gemstone Shimmer Sheetz colors, alcohol ink, emboss and sand it with a sanding block. Gemstone colors have a silver core so it really looks like metal. One of the ladies in class this morning was the first one to use this new folder and I had to make one as well, could not wait!"

It's a nice gift to make for someone or even yourself.
You'll need:

Masking tape / glue tape or double face tape
Scrapbooking papers or paint / inks for finishing
Decorations

1) Cut the pieces
- Top : 11.5cm x 11.5cm
- Bottom : 7cm x 7 cm
- Box : 15cm x 29.7cm

2) Fold and cut follow this plan

3) Assemble the box and top with double sided tape.
4) Glue the Bottom wit glue tape or masking tape.
