It may say this was posted on Monday, but it was really posted late Sunday night after the midnight hour!

Wow! Double Wow! It's been a fantastic weekend at Art 'n Soul because of Magenta. And it's been a whirlwind of activity at the Puyallup Rubber Stamp Show because of Magenta and Helene. While Deb covered the bases at Art 'n Soul, the rest of us were at the show working, browsing, demo'ing, working, packing, unpacking, counting, and saying 'hi' to our Art 'n Soul family of customers and friends who attended the show and stopped by the Magenta booth.

Down to business . . . as you know, Helene's Magenta class, from last Thursday afternoon, featuring watercoloring techniques with Tombow markers on watercolor papers is going to be repeated on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at Art 'n Soul. We had a waiting list and Helene generously offered to repeat the class because she had enough supplies with her to prep for another class. Call the store to sign up at 360.357.6820.

Here are pics of Susie's cards from the class last Thursday afternoon. One of the customers commented that with most of the cards she makes at classes, she doesn't do them again outside of the class. This particular technique is one that she will use quite frequently for all occasions. We totally agree!

This watercolor technique with the Tombow markers on watercolor paper is soooooo neat. If you missed the class on Thursday, you're going to want to sign up for the repeat session on Tuesday. I'll have more pics of the cards the other students made; I ran out of time this evening to edit and download more of the class photos.

Art 'n Soul is having a Magenta Peel Off Show Special  . . . over 800 Magenta peel offs from the stamp show were carried back to the store by Dianne. The special is "buy 10, get 2 free!" at the special show price of $2. The special applies to Magenta Peel Offs only!

And then we brought back the Tombow markers that Magenta was selling at the show . . . lots of beautiful colors that you'll want to take home, especially if you took one of Helene's watercolor technique classes.

We also carried back a lot of the alcohol inks from the Magenta booth so we can offer you a larger variety of colors. You'll want to have lots of colors in your stash to use when you start coloring those beautiful wood frames that Magenta is now selling. More ideas came to mind during the show and Susie spent today working on more of the frames and the small round wooden box. Pics of that to come. In the meantime, look at the array of colors and come on in to find the colors you want!

I can't wait to get back to the blog so I can share more fun stuff with you. We brought back more fun stuff from the show, too! Stamps, yarns and ribbons, hemp twine, baker's twine, buttons, chipboard, and stencils from Magenta. I also purchased some beautiful washi papers that I will be cutting down from the parent-size sheets for re-sale at Art 'n Soul; it has become difficult to find quality washi papers and I want to take advantage of every opportunity to bring it to you.

Stay tuned . . . pleeze! We have a lot going on right now, and a lot coming up! Excitement, excitement . . . we might have to pull on those 'big girl panties' to deal with all of the hubbub coming our way.

There's always a whir of exciting art going on when Helene from Magenta is at Art 'n Soul. Lucky for us, she's sticking around for a few more days!
