I'm planning a Valentine's class . . . "From the Heart" on Tuesday, January 17, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. We're going to make 4 cards and you'll take one 'make and take' card home to complete. I promise that I will stick to the 4 cards in class and no more.

There are so many ways we might celebrate Valentine's Day from the heart with just the right card. In this class, we'll make 4 cards (plus a bonus 'take and make' card) that you can use to show how much you love the Valentine's in your life. We're going to use Tsukineko's new Delicata ink pad, as well as painting with alcohol inks, and a special-fold card. During class, chocolates are a MUST!

This is one of the 4 Valentine's cards we'll make in the class. I have to tell you . . . I love, love, love and love even more Tsukineko's new Delicata ink pad. They are so right when they say it has a 'glitz' of its own and embossing will only dull it down. The color is soooo rich! You'll love it, too!

Dianne and Deb have been very busy putting the finishing touches on an order to Elizabeth Craft Designs for their peel-offs, Shimmer Sheetz, and Glitter Ritz! All of that will be perfect for your Valentine's projects. We'll keep you posted. I know I'm personally very low on all three of those items and feel like my 'craft cupboard is bare'. (double sigh!)

For those of us waiting anxiously for our Memory Box delivery, the staff at Memory Box told us today that we should have our order by Friday; if not Friday, then Saturday at the very latest so it's here for Recycled Rubber Day. Let us hope the delivery angels are watching over us.

From Ranger Ink's blog, some organizational ideas that can be applied to other products with similar containers . . .

New Year's Organization

Happy New Year, everyone!! So let's see a show of hands: how many of you have made New Year's Resolutions to finally organize your craft space? Wow, that's a lot of you! Never fear, Ranger is here to help. We have a plethora of organizational products and tools that will help you to sort your crafting stash.

For example, we have the Inkssentials Craft Spinner (which can be stacked up to three tiers high) for keeping your Ink Blending Tools, Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabbers, Jenni Bowlin for Ranger Paint Dabbers, Adirondack Alcohol Inks, Stickles, re-inkers and more within easy reach:

CraftSpinner

We also have free, printable labels available for download from our website, so you can label the sides of your ink pads for easy retrieval:

LabelSheets

We even have blank color charts that you can fill in with the colors of inks, paints, Stickles and more that are currently in your collection:

Our fans are pretty clever and innovative when it comes to organizing and storing their favorite Ranger products, too! Check out some of these great ideas that we found online:

Christie Hund affixed a metal strip under her crafting cabinets and attached all of her Stickles bottles using magnets. Gravity keeps the Stickles ready to use at any time!

SticklesStorage3

Ron Wilhelm has a different solution for upside-down Stickles storage: PVC couplings glued together in a honeycomb-like arrangement!

DabberStorage

Ron uses PVC pipes to hold Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabbers, too!

MATCHBOX DRESSER DRAWERS

"Hi everyone, this is Jinky, from Jinky's Crafts and I have a girly project for you. You might have seen several versions of Matchbox Dresser Drawers already but when I received my DCWV Lemon Flowers Paperstack, I knew exactly what I was going to make.

As you can see, my Matchbox Dresser Drawers were decorated with the DCWV Lemon Flowers Paperstack. I love these paper collections, the combination of yellow and silver is very elegant. If you noticed, I also used string of bling around my dresser with the aid of Helmar Quick Dry Adhesive. I also used the Helmar Acid Free glue in adhering the DCWV paperpacks. It's my first time to use Helmar but I found it works great. It has a self-cap option. I don't know about you but I hate looking for caps once I am done using my glue.

I also used the Zapdots 3D Double Sided Adhesive for my 3D Faux Flower Bouquet.

I even made an ornament adorned with gathered May Arts Ribbon. And a Kanzashi Flower Pearl Bracelet. Again, I used Helmar Quick Dry Adhesive to attach my pearls to my Kanzashi Flower. This glue is super strong and dries clear and works really good on fabric/ribbon. I used May Arts Ribbon for my Kanzashi Flower.

How I did my project?

  • For the ornament: Die cut ornament shape. I used a Spellbinder die
  • Die cut gathered ribbon
  • Adhere ribbon to ornament using Helmar Quick Dry Adhesive
  • For the 3D Flower: Cut out flower from the DCWV Lemon Flowers Paperstack
  • Layer the 3D flower using the Zapdot 3D foam adhesive
  • For Kanzashi Flower: Cut 2"x2" square MayArts Ribbon. Fold in Kanzashi form. My previous tutorial can be found here.
  • Glue pearls Helmar Quick Dry Adhesive
  • String pearl beads. Adhere Kanzashi ribbon flower. Done!

Thanks a lot for stopping! Hope I inspire you today!"
