What an afternoon! We spent the entire afternoon with John Peterson making a book. Not any old book . . . a special book. We took 'secret' white paper, Kaleidascope inks and brayer, Memento inks, Ink Potion No. 9 and whipped up beautiful book covers using John's special recipe.

Then the real fun began. We took sheets of various papers and played with inks, stamps, GooseBumps, Fireworks!, to make interesting 'inside' pages for our book. The book was prepared to accept 4 signatures inside.

I wish there had been time for everyone to display at least one of their personalized sheets to show here. If anyone takes a photo of their work, or brings it back in to the store for me to take a photo, I'd love to share your work with our bloggers. Everyone had fun and made beautiful papers.

There is a basket at the front counter of Tsukineko's GooseBumps in clear, matte and shimmer; Fireworks!; and Ink Potion No. 9. Be sure to stock up . . .

Before John left, he confirmed two dates for future classes at Art 'n Soul. Save Saturday, January 14, 2012; and Saturday, February 18, 2012 for all-day classes at the store. The techniques he casually mentioned as possibilities to teach are going to be way cool. We feel so fortunate that John Peterson enjoys teaching at Art 'n Soul!

My Mind's Eye has just alerted us that in the Christmas Lost & Found Accessories Pak (included in the Paper & Accessories Kit), there was a bracket die-ut that misspelled December. Somehow they've just now figured it out and are willing to replace it; they anticipate shipping the replacement in mid-December. We are going to notify the company of the number of the number of kits we sold; if you are one of our customers who bought the kit(s) at Art 'n Soul, please contact us with your name, email address and phone number so we can let you know when they arrive! Thanks!

Elizabeth Craft Designs' Warm Highlight Transparent Glittter Ritz arrived today, so the customers who bought this fabulous glitter and picked up the other part of their order may now return to pick up this gem of a product. I don't know if there are extras, but it's worth coming to the store to find out. The warm highlight and the cool highlight are perfect for any card you're making that you want to be extra-extra special!

When I arrived home, the postman had dropped off our latest new products . . . baker's twine in navy, red, dark green, green, brown and black; brown-bag kraft cardstock; brown-bag kraft chipboard; and brown-bag kraft tags. They'll be at the store tomorrow.

The double bows were created by tying the ribbons side-by-side then cinching them together at the knot with string and centering a fancy button on top!

Lastly, the new "Thanks" die cut delivers your sentiment loud and clear.

Each year my hostess friend looks for my special card and displays it amongst her Christmas decor during her Holiday Open House Event...seems we both look forward to our traditions!
