Deb K's sample card using an image from Outlines Rubber Stamp and her Copic markers turned out beautiful, don't you think?

by Deb Kuttel

And Marj created this beautiful card "gift" . . . I say "gift" because she encased the card in a clear plastic envelope box. Featured on the card is the "Catalina Border" die from Memory Box that she colored with her Pan Pastels. This will make an exquisite gift for someone special.

Memory Box sent us this sample card for the store using one of their new images. This particular stamp set includes 2 additional sentiments that can be interchanged with "Thinking of You".

Sue emailed us and said they visited Pike's Peak today, and they're slowly headed our way. We've certainly missed her at the store. She says they're having the best time!

Yesterday's Sprielli Play Day was such fun that another one has been scheduled on the afternoon of July 6 . . . save the date on your calendar. Our thanks to Gail for her enthusiasm for the art of spirelli and her enthusiasm to share it with others. If you are not familiar with spirelli, here's a beautiful example of a card featuring spirelli art. Join Gail on the afternoon of July 6 to catch the 'spirelli' fever!

I love how the silver and blue work together.

Keep your fingers crossed that my Notion's order arrives tomorrow. It includes the special Copic blending paper, and 12x12 chipboard, among other items that will be available at Art 'n Soul's 8th Birthday Party on Sunday, July 10.

Speaking of the Birthday Party, Graphic 45's The Magic of Oz collection will also debut at Art 'n Soul at the party. I can't tell you how "tough" it has been for me to not put this paper out now! And this afternoon, we were able to confirm that John Creighton Peterson from Tsukineko will be at the party with his dazzling personality and Tsukineko demo's.

A 'gentle' reminder that if you have recycled rubber to bring in for Recycled Rubber Day on Saturday, July 2, you need to bring it to the store with your initials, etc., by next Wednesday.

The Thurston County Food Bank is in dire need of non-perishable food items, especially now that the school year is finished and more children will no longer have access to a daily lunch at school. Art 'n Soul continues to take food contributions in the barrel at the front of the store. One item each time you visit us can add up to make a BIG difference for those folks in our community who are not as fortunate as we are. We thank you in advance for your generosity and thoughtfulness! (Thanks, Linda B.!)
