Outlines! -- Susie Declares Open Catalog Again

Remember those beautiful ornament toppers displayed at the Art 'n Soul Christmas Party created by Deb Kuttel? We showed them on a previous blog posting . . . scroll down through "older posts." Deb has scheduled a class using the Outlines Rubber Stamp Ornament Topper stamps on Thursday, December 2, in the evening. Stop in and sign up . . . or call the store (360.357.6820) . . . I'm sure this class will fill up fast! Susie talked to the owner of Outlines Rubber Stamp Co. yesterday and they will take our order right after Deb's class and ship overnight; Susie immediately declared "open catalog" for Outlines. So you have between now and December 2 to make your order out for Outlines' stamps that you've overlooked before and for some of those ornament toppers you'll want after you take Deb's class!

You still have time to sign up for Elaine Woodhouse's metal embossing with Magenta Peel-off's class this Sunday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00. She has used the bird stained glass peel-off from Magenta and created two embossed metal images that you will make in class and can easily use as covers for a special book or framed art. (Elaine's class sample at the store shows how she used the metal on a book she made . . . you are only making the embossed images and not the book.)

New ribbon arrived from May Arts . . . they're 'on the tables' but I forgot to take a picture. Pics will be posted in another day. There are the cut-out snowflakes, holly leaves, gold Christmas trees, and red stockings; pleated satin; and other ribbons to make your cards, projects and gift wrappings extra festive.

More of the SEI Christmas Tree paper will be ordered tonight; if you were not able to purchase any and definitely want a sheet or two or three (or whatever), please come into the store or call the store and 'reserve' however many sheets you want.

We talked to Graphic 45 the other day about the missing 8x8 paper paks of the Christmas Past collection. Unbelievable . . . they didn't print enough, are completely sold out, and won't reprint because a new print order would not arrive until after the holidays! But not to worry . . . the 12x12 sheets are in stock at the store on the spinning rack.

When I left the store last night, there was ONE Hero Arts tree stamp that Marj used in her beautiful sample at the Christmas party. Don't let it get away . . . we won't be ordering from Hero Arts again before the end of the year.

Yesterday afternoon's White Christmas card class was a success. Based on feedback, we're going to schedule more week-day afternoon classes. Here's a pic of the 'surprise' card added to the class . . . we made a total of 6 cards!

Finally, I hope Linda B. doesn't mind that I share a pic of the birthday card I made for her birthday. I used the Magenta peel-off's on washi paper and cut them out; in one area, the cut-outs were layered with foam tape.

That's it for now . . . must 'clean' the house before they come to clean the house this afternoon!
