Small Delivery Today

The Heartfelt Creations Leaf stamps arrived today; if you want the special die-cut that goes wth the stamps, you'll have to order them. Mid-month, the company is planning another special introduction of daisy stamps and a special Spellbinder die-cut! I had lots of fun today; I actually learned how to match up the die cut to the stamped image, including that little itty-bitty posy stamp. Makes it so much more fun when you know how to do something the way it's supposed to be done, rather than "engineering" your own method that is usually more cumbersome and not so accurate.

New sets of 5 A2 cards . . . matching envelopes, liner paper, and decorative papers . . . all bundled up for you to enjoy for $5.25 plus tax. They'll be at the store tomorrow mid-morning.

Marj Marion brought in her new sample board for her decorative box class . . . including a clever "treat" box for Halloween. She has also scheduled another "layering class" that you'll want to sign up for as soon as possible because that one will sell out early; as well as another stencil class. The store has the dates . . . all you need to do is sign up!

Fred Mullett sample boards arrived today for his classes on September 3 & 4 . . . the "Elegant Mess" board looks fascinating and fun. Not only will you learn a lot in Fred's classes, you'll have a good time too. He is one artistic character that you must know in your lifetime. There are still a few spots left.

Terry Medaris returns in a couple of weeks with his colored pencil techniques that are quite extraordinary, especially the technique that has you using your colored pencils on tumbled tile pieces, all with a southwest flair. His coloring techniques are vibrant! It all happens on Saturday, July 24. Call the store to sign up if you can't stop in right away. And even if you're not signed up for either of the two classes that day, he will also have his forty (40) new stamp designs to show and sell. We're planning on quite a day!

This Saturday is Laura Leach's "Christmas in July" featuring layering designs for the holidays, including the use of transparencies and souffle` pens. It starts at 10:30 a.m. and if you call right away, you can probably get into the class. And on Sunday, Elaine Woodhouse returns with another Encaustic Waxing class . . . this is another very popular technique that we just don't use that often and it is always a welcome "play day" with Elaine when she teaches this class. Again, call the store to sign up right away if you want to be added to the list of participants . . . judging from the list of sign-ups, it's going to be an absolute fun time.

We were notified today that the Memory Box order shipped out; can't wait to see what is inside that box when it arrives.

More of the Magenta "ultra thick and ultra smooth" white card stock will be arriving next week. Watch for it!

It may be outrageously hot outside but inside Art 'n Soul, it's pleasantly cool while we work on "hot" items in the fine art rubber stamping world. Browsing in the air-conditioned environment is a good thing!
