As I said yesterday, Magenta has a new designer by the name of Geninne. You've seen these stamps at Art 'n Soul; in fact, I have many of them in my personal stash. And there are a few that remain for sale at Art 'n Soul.

Geninne shows how she's used her stamp designs;
I love each and every way.

If the store doesn't have the stamp design from Geninne that you want, we're more than happy to order it for you since Magenta is always on 'open catalog' status.

And while we're in the Magenta world, here are 3 cards using one of the new stamps by Ellie Knol.

Another day with the IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko and Viva Las VegaStamps! Mixed Media Blog Hop. Artist-in-Residence Cathy Andronicou has created a colorful card using the new Radiant Neon inks and the new Pico Embellishments. Take a look:

Here's a way to artfully dress up some large letter shapes. RubberMoon's blog shows how they did it . . . I think you'll like the techniques that they use.

There are still a few openings in either class that Agi Werner, former owner and designer of Paper Parachute, is bringing to Art 'n Soul in July. I personally have always loved Agi's card designs because they're precise, they're artful, and they usually offer another inspiring surprise inside. Susie, Laura, Sam, Deb K., and I have driven to Hillsboro, Oregon to take her classes, and I am so thankful that she is coming to Art 'n Soul this time. Agi has relocated to the Washington DC area because of her husband's work with the federal government, and we've missed her presence in the Northwest!

Saturday, July 26, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. LAYER X LAYER – Agi Werner  $30
Create cards that stand out from the crowd!  Learn techniques that take your cards up a level.  Make more that just a card – make cards to treasure one layer at a time.  Bring your basic kit, including pencil, bone folder, ruler and scissors.  Also please bring 3M foam tape, or similar tape with the same height; 1/8” red or white line tape; and 1/8” hole punch if you have one.

Saturday, July 26, 2:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. NOTICE-ABLE – Agi Werner  $30
Send a note and add that special touch to a birthday note, a note of thanks, or a note just to say hello.  Notes simply done and worthy of notice.

I don't know which card goes with which class. In either class, you'll really love the cards you create. Agi is probably one of the most prepared teachers that has come to Art 'n Soul; all of her class kit materials are pre-cut with exacting precision and while the card design may look complex, the method to build the card isn't that difficult when you follow her directions. And, if you look at the cards to be made in either class, there isn't a lot of 'fussy cutting' that we've sometimes had to do in previous Agi classes.

Please sign up soon . . . you won't want to miss either class. I can't wait! You may stop in at the store to sign up or call us at 360.357.6820.

It's that time to say good night. Tomorrow (Friday) evening starts our weekend with Terry Medaris at Art 'n Soul! During Terry's classes Friday night and all day Saturday, he will also have a Trunk Show sale at Art 'n Soul. Everyone is welcome to stop in at the store to see what Terry has brought us . . . we hope we'll see you!
