Be sure to hurry over to Art 'n Soul. The Memory Box order arrived earlier today. If you had not placed an order, you know that the extra items will go quickly . . . don't miss out!

This butterfly stamp from Magenta makes a gorgeous card design; I love the coloring!

And then you must go over to Helene's blog to see some beautiful cards from a class in Montreal. Here are 2 of the several cards shown on her blog posting. If anyone is able to 'showcase' the beauty of Magenta stamps, it's Helene and her students!

I finally made time to play with my new Splash Inks from Yasutomo introduced to us by Lisa Lee with Inchie Arts last Saturday. I L-O-V-E them!

by Debbie Gaetz

  • Conqueror 118 lb. Card Stock in Diamond White

I had the pleasure of sitting in on Lisa's Make 'n Take session at another stamp store in Tukwila earlier today. Lisa used Memento Markers for the watercoloring, Versamark for the heat embossing and as a resist with Pan Pastels. I'll have photos for you tomorrow of her sample cards. I expressed a hope that Lisa would come to Art 'n Soul and teach the Pan Pastel technique.

Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to stop in at the store to see the latest Memory Box dies that were just delivered because they'll be going, going . . . gone! before you know it.

All I can say is "wow!" Sharon Morrison, an Artist-in-Residence for IMAGINE Crafts, shared this art on her Facebook posting. I was so impressed with it, I asked her if I could share it with you on the blog.

by Sharon Morrison
Sharon used her own hand as the outline, and a stamp from Stampendous. Colors were from IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko's Memento Luxe in Wedding Dress; StazOn in Jet Black; and Kaleidacolor in Tomato Vine, all on watercolor paper.

Peet Roeven made this beautiful card that is featured on the Penny Black blog today. I can see all sorts of fun using the background die.

Today was a beautiful day in western Washington. And tomorrow will be even more so. We hope the sunshine puts you into a very springy mode and that you will be visiting us at Art 'n Soul where the rays of creativity shine every day.

I'll be back tomorrow . . . see you then.

Lisa showed us the new 4-inch Art Square that she
had worked on; I placed it on the lid to an envelope
box and it looked pretty cool!

Patti was busy during class time as well. She made these 4 gorgeous cards that are displayed at the store.

Both of the cards were stamped with
this stamp from Impression Obsession.
Come on into Art 'n Soul to see these cards in person; you're going to really like them!

There is a blog posting I found that shows you how to make your own enamel dots . . . when you're in a pinch, it might be the thing to do!

Recycled Rubber Saturday is coming up at the end of this week. If you have items you want in the sale, please be sure to bring them in no later than this Wednesday (April 30) so staff has time to price them.

Isha Gupta is the Guest Designer on the Hero Arts blog today. She's showing how she used one stencil for 2 different card designs which I thought were very bright and cheery.

A fun afternoon working at the store today. Marj taught a wonderful stencil class featuring Dreamweaver Stencil Designs. Everyone had a great time. And it was fun seeing several customers as well. And now my eyelids are extremely heavy! I think my jammies are calling for me.

See you tomorrow!
